“PIPPIN” (book by Roger O. Hirson, music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz) opens October 30th in the city of Duarte at the Performing Arts Center, located at 1501 Highland Ave. A musical comedy about the son of Charlemagne, “PIPPIN” is the fifth production brought to the public by MB Production Players.

MB Productions & Players, under the direction of Mike Bauer, offers quality theatrical and cabaret entertainment for business, community and private functions. Based in the San Gabriel Valley, MB Productions has been in existence since 1997, and most recently has produced an original work, “A Hero’s Tribute” (2007) for the City of Duarte’s 50th anniversary. Past productions have included works such as: “Little Shop of Horrors” (2004) and “Fiddler” (2005).

Dedicated to providing the most professional theatrical experience, MB Players enlists equity actors and technical professionals in each production. Regardless of the type of production, (from a one hour cabaret revue to a complete two act play), MB Productions’ mission is to provide the best and most entertaining community theater experience

“PIPPIN” is scheduled to run October 30- November 9 at the Duarte Performing Arts Center. Show times are Thursday – Saturday at 8PM and Saturday matinees at 2PM. Admission to a special midnight showing of “PIPPIN” on October 31st will be $10.00. The regular price of tickets will be $16.00 at the door and $12.00 presale.
